The Alpine Club was established in the early 1970’s by a group of local mountaineers as a club for people interested casino games in outdoor activities such as spelunking, kayaking, and mountain climbing. The group went on to establish the nonprofit, Alaska Mountain Rescue Fund, to help pay for the public cost of mountain rescue operations and to promote a stronger sense of self-responsibility.
The First Friday Art Exhibition hours are from 4:20 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
